Unwanted hair

Shaving, waxing, starting over. The Soprano Titanium follows the pigment in the hair and treats a whole area at a time, for permanent hair reduction, over six to eight sessions on average. The hairs it reads poorly are handled one follicle at a time by electrolysis.

What is happening in the skin.

Hair grows in cycles, and one phase alone really exposes it: the growth phase. It is the phase where the follicle is still attached to what feeds it, and so the one where the laser’s energy reaches the root. At any given moment, part of your hair is there and part is not. That is what explains six to eight sessions four to six weeks apart, rather than one.

Our answer

The treatment we steer toward.

Laser hair removal

~30 min · from $40 per session

The Soprano Titanium combines three wavelengths (755, 810 and 1064 nm) and works a whole area in passes, with continuous contact cooling. That is what makes it virtually painless and safe on darker skin tones as well as lighter ones.

Electrolysis

15–60 min · from $25 per session

Electrolysis picks up where the laser sees poorly. A fine probe follows the hair down to the follicle and applies a current there, one follicle at a time, whatever the colour. It is booked by time block and suits small, precise areas.

The limits, said plainly

What it fixes, and what it does not.

The laser reads pigment. A white, grey, red or very blond hair carries too little of it to be seen, and adding sessions does not move it: those hairs belong to electrolysis. The free consultation is there to look at your hair and say so before you book, rather than after.

How many sessions does it take?
Six to eight on average, spaced four to six weeks apart. The number, specific to your area, your hair and your cycle, becomes clearer in the first sessions.
Does it hurt?
The Soprano Titanium is virtually painless. Its tip cools the skin continuously, and the sensation is usually described as a gently rising warmth.
Are the rates published?
Yes, area by area, on the laser hair removal page. The amount confirmed at booking is the amount you pay.
