What is microneedling?

The microneedling pen passed over the face

It’s also known as collagen induction therapy. A pen with very fine needles creates thousands of micro‑channels, at a depth adjusted to each area and to your goals. Your skin responds by starting its own renewal.

This renewal unfolds in three stages: inflammation, proliferation, then remodelling, when the skin produces fresh collagen and elastin. It all comes from your own skin, with no injected product.

The micro‑channels allow serums to penetrate more deeply than a surface application. With no heat and no light during the treatment, it suits every phototype, darker skin included.

Your collagen takes 4 to 6 weeks to rebuild: a course follows that rhythm.

Fine needles create micro‑channels to awaken your collagen and elastin, then LED soothes the skin.

The glow appears within the first few days, while your collagen rebuilds deep down over 4 to 6 weeks. This natural rhythm sets the time between two sessions.

    The micro‑channels open

    The pen creates the micro‑channels, then LED soothes the skin. Extremely fine needles, no heat: expect mild redness for 24 to 48 hours, much like a light sunburn.

  2. 4 to 6 weeks

    Collagen rebuilds

    Beneath the surface, the session carries on its work. We let this cycle complete, gently, before the next one.

  3. 3 sessions

    The Cure Essentielle

    Three sessions make up the Cure Essentielle (−10%). The best results come with a course, not with one visit.

After your session, your skin moves through three natural stages of renewal, the ones that give rise to new collagen.

    Inflammation

    The first stage of renewal: your skin responds, blood flows to the area and new tissue begins to form.

  2. 02

    Proliferation

    New tissue and fine vessels develop, while the skin gently closes the micro‑channels.

  3. 03

    Reconstruction

    The culmination of the process: the skin rebuilds itself and reveals a new radiance.

Aftercare

After your microneedling session

  • The first 24 hours

    Wait at least 4 hours before washing your face and 8 hours before wearing makeup, touch your skin only with clean hands, and avoid direct sun.

  • Avoid for 5 days

    Set aside retinoids, AHAs and BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone and alcohol while your skin repairs.

  • The first two weeks

    Mineral sunscreen every time you step outside, and a break of 24 to 72 hours from pools, saunas and intense workouts, depending on your skin.

  • To help the repair

    A soothing moisturizer, hyaluronic acid, an antioxidant serum and peptides to care for your skin.

Your skin may stay warm, tight and rosy for 1 to 3 days. Light flaking is possible from day 3 to day 5, a sign of active renewal. The first results appear within 2 to 4 weeks, and the treatment can be repeated every 4 to 5 months.

Some situations call for waiting: an active skin infection, active cold sores, sunburn, an open lesion, recent facial surgery, isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last 6 to 12 months. The free consultation walks the full list with you.

Microneedling softens the look of fine lines, dark spots, pores and scars, and refines skin texture. Softening is not erasing: the number of sessions depends on your skin, and we’ll clarify it at your consultation.

With no heat, the protocol suits every skin tone. Mild redness follows each session for 24 to 48 hours, and LED is included with every protocol.

Does it hurt?
Very little: the needles are extremely fine and the protocol uses no heat, which suits every skin tone. Expect mild redness for 24 to 48 hours, much like a light sunburn.
How much does microneedling cost in Montreal?
Our three face protocols are $215, $235 and $265 per session, LED and hyaluronic acid included. A targeted body area (a scar, a stretch mark) runs $125 to $150 depending on the area. Neck add‑on $40, décolleté $25. Courses cost less: −10% over 3 sessions, −15% over 6. The consultation is free.
When will I see results?
