The Microneedling technique uses rotary needles with variable depths to make microchannels in your skin. The Microneedling device works by puncturing the skin’s surface with tiny needles. Thanks to this natural process, you can reverse sun damage, improve scarring, decrease pore size and improve skin tone and texture.

MicroNeedling offers a natural solution that is safe and effective for all skin types

Micro-needling, commonly known as “Collagen Induction Therapy” is a cutting-edge cosmetic therapy that is now sweeping the cosmetic medical community. Micro-needling treatment involves puncturing the skin’s outermost layer with several tiny needles.
As a result of this therapy, your body will create more collagen, which is advantageous for regenerating damaged tissue and mending wounds. This therapy is accomplished by enabling more remarkable collagen synthesis, which lessens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and enhances the general texture of the skin. But if you’re still unsure about micro-needling therapy or wondering how safe it is, then we have got good news for you. Microneedling has been approved as a therapy for several skin conditions; thus, the procedure is considered entirely risk-free. It is safe and effective for treating stretch marks, wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and other skin imperfections. So, if you currently live in Montreal and are looking for the Best Micro-needling service that is both reasonably priced and effective, in that case, we highly encourage you to try our micro-needling service. You won’t regret your choice, we promise.

What makes Microneedling so Popular ?

This cosmetic procedure is suitable for all skin tones and types, including darker, thin, and sensitive skin. It stimulates collagen synthesis while protecting the skin’s upper surface, this therapy is highly well-liked by both patients and professionals. Patients frequently resume normal activities the next day because of the procedure’s significantly shorter recovery period.
Additionally, whereas laser treatments cost almost double as much, micro-needling is affordable. Micro-needling may be more successful for people with darker skin tones because it doesn’t involve heat. Unlike laser treatments, which can change your skin’s pigmentation or color. People with darker skin tones may prefer microneedling to laser therapy because of safety concerns. Men and women of all ages are becoming increasingly interested in micro-needling because of its exceptional capacity to provide them with a clearer, more youthful-looking complexion.

Microneedling Benefits:

At DERMAZUR, we offer micro-needling as a fantastic way to improve your overall skin health and appearance. The beauty of microneedling is that it can kill two birds with one stone. If you have more than one type of blemish, microneedling can smooth away various kinds of skin problems at the same time, saving you money and rounds of appointments with different providers.
Microneedling offers a variety of other significant advantages. These benefits include:
● Reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
●Reducing the appearance of hyperpigmentation, or dark spots, and other skin imperfections
● Creating a more balanced skin tone and texture
● Reducing enlarged pores
● Improving skin elasticity by Stimulating new collagen and elastin growth
● Reducing the appearance of scars, including acne scars
● Reducing the appearance of stretch marks
● Promoting the general health and look of the skin.
● Promoting hair growth in people with alopecia
● Little to no recovery time with no downtime.

Why Choose Microneedling?

Micro-needling is significantly less costly than laser therapy and might be more effective for some patients. Heat is used during laser treatments, which may alter the pigment of your skin.
Another reason you should try micro-needling is that lines and wrinkles on the face, neck, hands, and torso become considerably less noticeable. The skin’s texture and tone also improve. People with darker complexions often prefer micro-needling over laser therapy because of the risks associated with laser treatments. A sufficient amount of data on the effectiveness and safety of laser treatment for people with darker skin tones is still needed.

The combination between Microneedling treatment and LED Therapy

Combining microneedling and light therapy appears to offer the best of both treatments. The release of multiple growth factors coupled with the increase in ATP and the fibroblast proliferation that the light therapy ensures, demonstrates that the combination treatment protocol of microneedling and light therapy are a perfect match to achieve healthy, glowing, rejuvenated skin.

What Is The Process of Micro-Needling?

Many of our clients come here at DERMAZUR with these two highly typical issues: the loss of skin volume and the emergence of additional wrinkles and fine lines. And while we would do anything to provide each of our patients with the perfect prescription to help their skin, we can only offer them the most fantastic option, which is micro-needling. Let’s now take a candid look at:

How does Micro-needling works ?

Our experienced technician here at DERMAZUR uses a micro-needling pen to leave hundreds of microscopic needle impressions on the skin of the face or body.
The deeper layer of skin, the derma, mounts a healing response as the treatment pen runs over the face, causing micro-injuries that naturally encourage collagen formation. Because of the tiny channels the needles make in the skin, topical serum can also be absorbed more deeply during the treatment. These tiny wounds minimize cell injury while improving wound healing.
Your skin may then go through the three stages of wound healing. These are them:

First stage: inflammation

Inflammation is the initial stage of healing. Your immune system is now cleaning your skin of dirt and disinfecting the wounds. As more blood flows to the region, new tissue begins to form.

Second stage: proliferation

The second phase is characterized by the rapid development of fresh connective tissue and blood vessels. The body is repairing itself or covering the wounds.

Third Stage: Reconstruction

The culmination of the recovery process is what makes it all beneficial. The new skin layer and blood vessels have grown where there was an injury. The injured skin is replaced by new, healthy skin by your body.

After Microneedling Treatment:

What to expect following the procedure:

● Wait at least four hours to wash your face.
● Your skin may feel warm and tight and look red for one to three days. During this period, use a delicate cleanser and soothing moisturizer, to calm skin irritation.
● Peeling and flaking of the treatment area may occur three to five days after microneedling as a result of increased skin cell turnover. Avoid picking and scratching at your skin. Instead, use a gentle moisturizer to help combat dry skin.
● The positive results of microneedling will become visible within two to four weeks. In the meantime, you can wear cosmetics to lessen the appearance of skin redness and peeling.
● Expect the results of microneedling to last up to six months. You can repeat the procedure as often as every four to five months.
● You may need three to six treatments to maximize your results. Six to eight sessions may be necessary when treating scar tissue.

Recovery Time:

* 60 minutes: Reddening and possible pot bleeding
* Up to 24 hours: Erythema (reddening or rash like appearance), Pinpoint, round spots, minor oedema (swelling)
* 1-2 days: Mild erythema , pinpoint, reduced oedema, minor, itching, dry/tight sensation.
* 2-3 days Reduced erythema, fading petechiae, dissipated oedema, reduced itching, minor skin flaking
* 3-4 days: Potential dryness
* 4-5 days: Full Recovery with normal function
* 3 weeks: improved pigmentation begins
* 4-6 weeks: Improvements in lines, wrinkles and scarring begins

What to Avoid after the Procedure:

● Sun Protection: You should reach for sunscreen constantly for the first 2 weeks after microneedling. Make sure to apply mineral sunscreen anytime you go outside in the days following your treatment. Immediately after microneedling
● We recommend a physical based ( Mineral) sunscreen if possible because it’s more gentle. Sunscreen should be worn everyday regardless, but it is extra important to protect your healing skin from sun damage during the recovery process.
● Avoid Sun: Don’t spend prolonged time out in the sun for the first week after your microneedling procedure, as you’ll be more prone to sun damage than usual. It’s best to avoid intentional and direct sunlight for 24 hours.
● Stay Clean: Wash your hands before touching your face and avoid touching your face for the first 24 hours.
● No Makeup: We recommend you do not apply makeup for 8 hours after microneedling. In addition, make sure you use freshly washed brushes if you decide to apply makeup.
● Avoid Sweating: You’ll also need to avoid swimming pools, saunas, and situations where you might sweat heavily, including intense workouts at the gym, to protect your newly treated skin. You can do these activities after 24 hours, but if you have particularly sensitive skin you may want to wait up to 72 hours, it really depends on how your skin takes it and responds. Signs of sensitivity include skin that easily flushes and turns red, and feelings of itching or stinging.
● Avoid skin care products with active ingredients : Make sure not to apply strong products ( retinol, acids, acne prescription, exfoliant) right after microneedling. The point is to be gentle and not use ingredients that would either irritate or increase turnover of skin until at least two or three later.
